Job Description:
POSITION TITLE
Development Project Engineering Manager
DEPARTMENT/AREA
Development / Wind Energy
LOCATION
Houston, TX 77002
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
▪ Secure and support project permits
▪ Solicit contractors for budgetary and firm pricing
▪ Prepare and negotiate EPC and Turbine Supply Agreements
▪ Take lead coordinating engineering, surveying and construction
services
▪ Support financial analysts
▪ Contract management
▪ Develop standards, test procedures, and estimating models
▪ Prepare development budgets and schedules
▪ Attend monthly development staff meetings
▪ Scout development prospects and attend necessary site visits
▪ Support project due diligence technical reviews
▪ Development/construction integration, general construction planning
▪ Complete any other tasks as required
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
▪ 3-5 years of direct wind energy experience preferred
▪ Experience and detailed knowledge of knowledge of construction
and/or project development
▪ Highly detail oriented
▪ Tenacious and creative problem solver
▪ Excellent presentation
▪ Ability to learn and adapt quickly
▪ Show initiative and bring new insight to the group
▪ Basic finance and accounting knowledge
▪ General proficiency with Microsoft Office
▪ Experience using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or
Primavera Suretrak
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
▪ Team player, can maximize use of resources
▪ Ability to work well under pressure and to juggle multiple tasks
simultaneously
▪ Computer literacy, including intermediate skills on Microsoft
Office products
▪ Strong proficiency with Excel spreadsheet
