Job Description:
BlackBerry Handheld and Desktop Support Representative
Location: Irving, Texas, United States
The primary functions and responsibilities of this role are:
Answer telephone (or email) inquiries in a priority-based queue regarding
the BlackBerry smartphone and Desktop Manager software
Gather information, research and troubleshoot technical inquiries
Leverage both internal and external knowledge-based systems for assisting
the callers
Log issues and customer information into ticketing system
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory bilingual (written and verbal) in English and Spanish
University or College education in a technology related discipline or
equivalent experience
Experience providing customer service and support
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and
written)
Experience troubleshooting technology
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Active knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
A positive attitude, patience and understanding, dedication and commitment
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
***Additionally, and in anticipation of a high volume of applicants,
additional consideration will be given to candidates who also possess the
following:
Experience with MS 2000/2003 Server and/or Exchange Server 5.5 and
Exchange 2000/2003
MAC knowledge
Previous experience with Remedy Action Request Ticket (or similar
applications)
At least 1 year previous experience in a technical support or helpdesk
environment
A good sense of humour
Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office preferred
